Current Health Coverage Not Guaranteed Under Obamacare

Watch this video to understand why it is essential that any healthcare reform legislation contain an explicit opt-out provision allowing individuals to exclude themselves from a government-run and government-mandated healthcare system; and rather than have their taxes go to support nationalized healthcare be eligible to receive a tax credit which they can put toward purchasing their own healthcare coverage privately. If individuals cannot opt out and use their tax dollars to purchase health coverage privately, they will have no guarantee that they will be able to keep their current coverage as their insurance companies and their employers buckle under financial pressure and government coercion to alter the terms of their coverage or eliminate it altogether.

These are the Faces of Government Healthcare, The victims of a useless, harmful system of healthcare. Here is the first in the series.

The 1997 scheme to make supposedly automatic cuts in Medicare doctor fees based on what looked like a reasonable index has totally failed. Sooner or later, Congress will have to try something different if it doesn't want to bankrupt Medicare or jack up taxes to keep the program afloat.
