Assault On Seniors Continues

 THREAT TO SENIORS LIVES

Dear Fellow Senior:

As I write this letter to you, politicians in Washington, including the president himself, are conniving to cut Social Security benefits in the name of reducing the national debt.

They are out to take away up to ten percent of your Social Security… the money you earned by your hard work. … the money you need to pay your bills -- and protect your health. Your Social Security.

Click here to Sign the Petition to prevent Congress from cutting Social Security benefits or go to SocialSecurityPetition.com

(Then, watch our ad that we are planning to run on TV across America.) screen shot 2011-11-21 at 3.09.20 pm.pngWell, Social Security has not contributed to the national debt.  In fact, Social Security ran large surpluses for almost three decades, and Congress raided that money every year to pay for everything but Social Security  --  everything from paper clips to battleships.

The Social Security Trust Fund now has more than 2.5 trillion dollars in federal bonds sitting in it representing how much workers like you were forced to overpay in Social Security taxes since 1983.

THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT HAS A LEGAL AND MORAL OBLIGATION TO REDEEM ALL THE TRUST FUND BONDS TO PAY CURRENT RETIREES’ SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS IN FULL AND ON TIME.

Now the politicians want to blame Social Security for the national Debt.

Now the politicians want to take money out of your mouth to pay for their own spending addiction.

Now the politicians want to renege on their promise --  a promise they made to assure you that if you dutifully overpaid your Social Security taxes each and every payday for more than 20 years, your benefits would be secure.

Now the politicians want to cut your benefits.  They want to treat Social Security like Welfare, bailouts and handouts, and they want to treat seniors like some kind of Welfare QueensShame on them.

Well, we say NO!  --  NO! NO! NO!

Social Security is not welfare.  You earned those benefits, and no damned politicians should be allowed to take them away to cover their own profligacy.

First they bailed out the banks -- and now they want to sell out seniors -- including you!

Again, we say NO! And so can you -- simply by signing the petition, and then making a financial contribution to help us run the TV ad above across America?

It’s your money.

Don’t let them take it away. Not now. Not ever.

Does federal spending need to be cut?  Yes it does.  But, there is plenty of other wasteful and extravagant spending, bailouts and handouts that can be cut without cutting Social Security.

Stop the bailouts -- Terminate the handouts.

Before Washington even thinks about cutting Social Security, they should lay off the hoards of meddling, unproductive bureaucrats who have cushy jobs at your expense, which pay twice what real workers earn in the private sector; bureaucrats who have Cadillac healthcare plans paid for by the American taxpayer who can’t afford health insurance themselves; bureaucrats who have the best retirement system in the world, a system Washington denies every other working American.

It is time to stop Washington’s assault on Seniors.

SOCIAL SECURITY IS NOT WELFARE

SENIORS EARNED THEIR SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS

THERE IS NO NECESSITY OR JUSTIFIABLE REASON TO CUT SOCIAL SECURITY

NO HOW, NO WAY

Don’t let the Washington politicians scam you again.  They say inflation is overstated in the current way annual Social Security cost of living allowances (COLAs) are computed.  We know just the opposite is true:  The current method of measuring inflation for purposes of computing Social Security COLAs significantly UNDERSTATES price increases that most affect senior citizens, which means annual cost of living allowances (COLAs) already are too low.

When the politicians claim they have to “make technical corrections” to the way inflation is measured by replacing the current Consumer Price Index (CPI) with the so-called “Chained CPI,” IT IS A FRAUD.  They want to cut your Social Security benefits without you knowing your pocket is being picked.

Don’t let them do it.  Not Now  --  Not EVER!

Act Now To STOP Washington’s Assault on Seniors.
